You know how I know you're gay?

The 40 Year-Old Virgin
I actually did not see this untill recently. I never really got around to it, but after I saw it I was just like WOW! I am loving Judd. This movie just has great lines and a hilarious with a bit of a heart warming ending. The four guys are just amazing. They fit into their characters so well. I was glad to see the begining of this amazing comedy streak. I think that this was an opening for WE LOVE NERDS in hollywood. Soon after this we keep seeing movies about the underdog nerds who end up getting the girl in the end. Just absolutely loved it and if you haven't had a chance to see it yet then go get it.

You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.

Anchorman
My next favorite has to be Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy. This is just pure comedy. I saw this for my birthday a few years back and I have been a huge Will Ferrell fan ever since. Will co-wrote this film and with the help of producing genius Judd Apatow they made an amazing movie. This is when it was made apparent that both Judd and Will were going to make a huge impact on the comedy buisness. This is one of the most quotable movies of this time. Who has not made a reference to this movie. Actually I used a quote just tonight "I'm kind of a big deal. I have many leatherbound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogony." It is a classic that will go down in comic history. One of my favorite parts about this movie is that you can watch it tons of times and it does not get old. It is always HILARIOUS!

I Don't Give a Damn 'Bout My Bad Reputation...bum, bum, bum, bum!

Freaks and Geeks
First, let me just say that ABC Family made a huge mistake the day they decided to cancel this show. This has to be in the top 10 of history's underrated television shows. It had a genius cast, a great mix of both comedy and real life issues, and (ahh-hmm) Judd Apatow. Altogether it had a great formula for a perfect television show it just did not get recognized fast enough, sadly. I think that in the past few years since it was released on DVD more and more people are able to find enjoyment as they relive their high school experience through these hilariously colorful characters. I find that it was also able to identify with both the "freaks" and the "geeks" from time to time making this show well rounded. Again I must say that this is just a really great show. If you have never had the chance to catch an episode of this genius show, find out a way to watch it ASAP.

The Amazing Judd Apatow!

I have huge love for this man. He is one of my absolute favorite producers/writers in the comedy industry. He has been around for a while and is begining to get increasingly more popular with every great movie he makes. He has gone from a little show on ABC Family to the big screen along side one of comedy's big shots Will Ferrell. To show my true appreciation for Mr. Apatow I will be dedicating a post to each one of my favorite Apatow creations (otherwise this would be one hella long post)

Welcome this is going to be LEGEN...wait for it...DARY!

Hello everyone, my name is Liz and I really love popculture. I am currently studying/majoring in film so that one day I can make a name in the world of pop culture. (We can all hope right?) This blog will be dedicated to all of the pop culturey goodness that I love. I will be posting reviews of movies, television, books etc. and I would love to hear what you all think of them too. I hope you enjoy and I am excited to post.
